Please find attached the analysis of the assets of the re-contesting MLAs for both Maharashtra and Arunahcal Pradesh. (The same analysis for Haryana was done and sent earlier but is re-attached).
Here are the highlights:
Maharashtra MLAs: - Total of 196 MLAs found to re-contest whose affidavits are available for both 2004 and 2009 elections -
Average increase in assets of MLAs is 339% or Rs 2.45 Crores
Maximum increase in Rs is that of JAIN SURESHKUMAR BHIKAMCHAND of Shiv Sena (Rs 52.7 Crores), followed by Darda Rajendra of INC (Rs 25.8 Crores)
Maximum increase in % is that of Devendra Satam of Shiv Sena (9,564%), followed by Adam Narsayya Narayan of CPI(M) (by 7,981%)
Arunachal Pradesh MLAs: - Total of 45 MLAs found to re-contest whose affidavits are available for both 2004 and 2009 elections -
Average increase in assets of MLAs is 240% or Rs 1.2 Crores
Maximum increase in Rs is that of Dorjee Khandu Of INC (Rs 18.7 Crores) followed by Chowna Mein of INC (Rs 14.97 Crores)
Maximum increase in % is that of Honchun Ngandam of INC (2,530%), followed by Kipa Babu of INC (by 1,736 %)
Haryana MLAs: - Total of 42 MLAs found to re-contest whose affidavits are available for both 2004 and 2009 elections
Average increase in assets of MLAs is 388% or Rs 4.8 Crores
Maximum increase in Rs is that of Vinod Kumar Sharma Of INC (Rs 78 Crores) followed by Om Prakash Chautala of INLD (Rs 9 Crores)
Maximum increase in % is that of Sharda Rathod of INC (5,488%), followed by Anita Yadav of INC (987%)
