Delhi, April 06, 2010: Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and National Election Watch (NEW), a nationwide campaign comprising of more than 1200 NGOs and other citizen led organizations, has been working on electoral reforms, improving democracy and governance in India.
NEW and ADR have analyzed affidavits of 219 Rajya Sabha members furnished by them at time of their election to Rajya Sabha. We have also analysed asset and liability information available for 183 members for the year 2008‐2009 from the Rajya Sabha Secretariat. Executive summary is given below‐
