Delhi voters, who gave a massive mandate to Aam Aadmi Party in the recent Assembly elections, have rated drinking water as their highest priority, followed by better hospitals, better electricity supply, among others.

In a letter to the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, non-profit organisations, the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) and Daksh, citing voter perception on specific governance issues following a survey done by them during December 2013 to February 2014, requested him to prepare a governance blueprint, as expectations from the new government are “significantly high.”

ADR said the survey found the top 10 concerns of Delhi voters as lack of drinking water, followed by better hospitals, electricity supply, law and order, roads, public transport, schools, employment opportunities, security for women and subsidised food.
