568 crore assets in SP which is the highest among regional parties
- BRS ranks second with assets of Rs 512 crore

Among the country’s regional political parties, the Samajwadi Party has declared the highest wealth for the year 2021-22, according to think tank Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR). During the financial year 2020-21, SP declared total assets of Rs 561.46 crore, which increased by 1.23 percent to Rs 568.36 crore in 2021-22. Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), the party that lost power in the current assembly elections in Telangana, stands second with assets of Rs 512.24 crore. In 2020-21, BRA declared assets of Rs.319.55 crore. Cruelwhile, DMK assets in 2020-21 stood at Rs. 115.70 crore, a growth of 244.88 percent in 2021-22 to Rs. 399 crore was reached. BJD in 2020-21 Rs. 194 crore in assets, which increased by 143 percent in 2021-22 to Rs. 474 crore was reached. The total assets of Aam Aadmi Party in the financial year 2020-21 is Rs. 21.82 crore, an increase of 71.76 percent in 2021-22 to Rs. 37.47 million dollars. Among the major regional parties in the country, most of the regional parties saw an increase in their fortunes over the two-year period, except for the ADMK in Tamil Nadu and the TDP in Andhra Pradesh.
Declining wealth in ADMK, TDP
Among the top ten regional parties, only ADMK and TDP saw a decline in assets by 1.55 percent and 3.04 percent respectively. During the financial year 2020-21 to 2021-22, ADMK’s assets are Rs. 260.16 crore down to Rs. 256.13 crore and TDP assets of Rs. 133.42 crores down to Rs. 129.37 million dollars.
