Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and National Election Watch have analysed the self-sworn affidavits of 102 out of 103 re-elected MPs between 2014 to 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Due to the non availability of 2019 Lok Sabha affidavit data, Devendra Singh alias Bhole Singh, BJP MP from Akbarpur, Uttar Pradesh, has not been included in this analysis.

Summary of comparison for re-elected MPs

  • Average Assets in 2014 Elections: The average assets of these 102 re-elected MPs fielded by various parties in 2014 was Rs 15.76 Crores.
  • Average Assets in 2019 Elections: The average asset of these 102 re-elected MPs in 2019 was Rs 24.21 Crores.
  • Average Assets in 2024 Elections: The average asset of these 102 re-elected MPs in 2024 was Rs 33.13 Crores.
  • Average Asset growth in 10 years (2014-2024): The average asset growth for these 102 re- elected MPs, between the Lok Sabha Elections of 2014 to 2024 is Rs 17.36 Crores.
  • Percentage growth in 10 years (2014-2024): Average percentage growth in assets for these 102 re-elected MPs is 110%.

Re-elected MPs with highest asset increase (Rupees- wise)

  • Shrimant Chh Udayanraje Pratapsinhamaharaj Bhonsle of BJP from Satara constituency has declared maximum increase in assets with an increase of Rs 162.51 Crores i.e from Rs 60.60 Crores in 2014 to Rs 223.12 Crores in 2024.
  • Assets of Poonamben Hematbhai Maadam of BJP from Jamnagar constituency has increased by Rs 130.26 Crores, from Rs 17.43 Crores in 2014 to Rs 147.70 Crores in 2024.
  • Assets of P V Midhun Reddy of YSRCP from Rajampet constituency have risen by Rs 124.25 Crores, from Rs 22.59 Crores in 2014 to Rs 146.85 Crores in 2024.
