Jai Prakash Dalal of BJP is the richest minister with the highest declared assets worth Rs.76.75 crore

All 12 ministers in the newly-formed Haryana cabinet are crorepatis (multi-millionaires), an analysis of the self-declared affidavits of the minister done by election watch body ADR has shown.

The average assets of 12 ministers analysed is Rs 17.41 crore.

The minister with the highest declared total assets is Jai Prakash Dalal of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), an MLA from Loharu constituency. Dalal has declared assets worth Rs.76.75 crore.

The other two ministers with highest declared assets are Dushyant Chautala of Jannayak Janata Party with assets worth over Rs 74 crore and Ranjit Singh, an Independent MLA, with assets worth over Rs 27 crore.

In the last cabinet that was formed in 2014, seven out of 10 (70%) ministers were crorepati.

Out of 12 ministers, only one is woman. Two ministers are educated upto 12th class while 10 are graduates or above, the analysis showed.

None of the ministers analysed have declared criminal cases against themselves. In 2014, there was one minister with criminal charges against him.
