Election watchdog Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) claimed that all nine ministers in the Karnataka Cabinet were "crorepatis". The watchdog further claimed that four out of the nine ministers had criminal antecedents. In the report by the ADR, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar declared the highest total assets. On the other hand, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge's son Priyank Kharge, who is the MLA from the Chittapur constituency, has the lowest income.
