The BJD has become the second wealthiest regional party in India after the DMK, reporting a 318% increase in annual income in 2021-22. The party earned Rs 307.28 crore, up from Rs 73.34 crore the previous year, with an excess income of Rs 278.65 crore. TMC saw the highest increase among national parties at 633%, primarily due to electoral bonds.
