Gurpreet Singh  of the Congress has declared the highest election expenditure of Rs 26.89 lakh in the Punjab Assembly elections.

Harpartap Singh of the Congress from Ajnala spent only Rs 4.13 lakh, the lowest, on his campaign.

Sukhpal Bhullar of the Congress spent Rs 6.57 lakh and Rakesh Pandey of the same party spent Rs 7.19 lakh.  

The report was released by Association for democratic reforms and Punjab watch.                     

In case of the highest expenditure, Gurpreet is followed by Charanjit Channi and Simarjeet Bains, who spent the second and third highest--Rs 26.83 lakh and Rs 25.18 lakh—respectively.
