The total assets of 24 MPs from Telangana is worth Rs 6,294 crore

Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have topped the list of states in India with the most billionaire MPs in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, as per data released by Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR).

ADR and National Election Watch (NEW) analysed the criminal, financial and other background of 225 out of 233 sitting MPs.

According to the data, 7 out of 31 MPs in Andhra Pradesh and 7 out of 16 MPs from Telangana have declared assets worth more than Rs 100 crore.

The total assets of 24 MPs from Telangana is worth Rs 6,294 crore while that of 36 Andhra Pradesh MPs is Rs 5,427 crore.

The MP with the highest assets in Telangana is Bandi Parthasarathi Reddy from the BRS and is worth Rs 5,300 crore. Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy from YSRCP has declared assets worth Rs 2,557 crore.

The average assets of 16 BRS MPs is worth Rs 383 crore and the average assets of YSRCP MPs is Rs 153 crore. Telangana is also among the top 5 states with most criminal cases against MPs.
