As the Uttar Pradesh elections are progressing, Samajwadi Party It is the frontrunner in the fifth phase with the maximum number of candidates with criminal background. Association for Democratic Reforms (ADRAccording to the analysis data released by the Congress, out of 59 SP candidates, around 42 have criminal records.

Apna Dal has fielded seven candidates, four of whom have criminal records, while 25 of the 52 candidates fielded by the BJP have the same record. The BSP has 23 criminal candidates and the Congress has the same number. Ten of the 52 candidates fielded by AAP in this phase also have criminal history.

Among the major parties, SP has 29 out of 59, Apna Dal 2 out of 7 candidates, BJP 22 out of 52, BSP 17 out of 61, Congress 17 out of 61 candidates and AAP 7 out of 52 have declared their candidates. He has declared serious criminal cases against him in the affidavit.

12 candidates have declared cases related to crime against women. Out of 12 candidates, 1 candidate has declared a case related to rape (IPC Section-376). Eight candidates have declared cases related to murder (IPC Section-302) against themselves and 31 candidates have declared cases related to attempt to murder (IPC Section-307).

Based on the number of criminal candidates, 39 out of 61 constituencies in the fifth phase have been declared as red alert constituencies.
