"Mera Vote Mera Desh" voter awareness campaign for youths was organized by Odisha Election Watch in collaboration with Mandosil Degree College,Mandosil, in Bargarh district on 16th March 2024. The event saw 80 participants.

The main objective was to combat the undue influence of crime and financial resources in elections. It also aimed to motivate voters to select candidates who are honest, competent, and free from corruption, emphasize their qualifications and track record instead of voting along the lines of religion, caste, or other biases. 

The following points were emphasised during the discussion:

• encouraging voters to actively participate in the electoral process, particularly focusing on youth, women, differently-abled individuals, voters with low literacy, and other marginalized communities
• educating voters about the importance of their vote and providing them with necessary information about the electoral process, including registration, enrollment, electoral rolls, poll procedures, and schedules
• encouraging the voters to visit myneta.info website to obtain background information about contesting candidates, thus enabling ethical voting based on informed decisions
