"Mera Vote Mera Desh" voter awareness campaign for youths was organized by Odisha Election Watch in collaboration with Manorama School of Nursing in Jajpur district on 14th March 2024. The event saw 100 participants.
The aim of the campaign was to combat the undue influence of crime and money in elections. The campaign targeted youth and new voters and aimed to enhance their engagement in the electoral process. Its objectives included encouraging voters to participate actively, especially emphasizing the importance of voting among youth, women, differently-abled individuals, and other marginalized communities. Additionally, the campaign sought to educate voters about the electoral process, including voter registration, enrolment, electoral rolls, polling procedures, and schedules. Moreover, it advocated for informed voting by providing access to background information of the contesting candidates through myneta.info website. Furthermore, the campaign aimed to raise awareness about the use of NOTA (None of the Above) option on EVMs, empowering voters to make informed choices during elections.
