Twenty-five out of the 29 newly-elected Members of Parliament (MPs), which comes to 86 per cent, from the State are crorepatis. Congress MP of Chhindwara Kamalnath leads the crorepatis club while Congress MP from Guna Jyotiraditya Scindia stands second.

Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), in association with MP Election Watch, has analysed the information furnished by the newly-elected MPs.Kamalnath of Congress has shown assets worth Rs 206 crore, Jyotiradtiya Scindia of Congress has shown assets worth Rs 33 crore, Sushma Swaraj of BJP from Vidisha has shown assets worth Rs 17 crore.

BJP MP from Hoshangabad Udaipratap Singh has shown assets worth Rs 13 crore Anoop Mishra of BJP from Morena has shown properties of Rs 11 crore. Sudhir Gupta of BJP from Mandsaur has shown Rs 5 crore, Nagendra Singh of BJP from Khajuraho has shown wealth of Rs 4 crore.  Nand Kumar Chauhan of BJP from Khandwa  has shown properties of Rs 4 crore.

Prahalad Patel of BJP from Damoh, Ganesh Singh of BJP from Satna, Subhash Patel of BJP from Khargone, Riti Pathak of BJP from Sidhi have shown the wealth of Rs 3 crore. Rodmal Nagar of BJP from Rajgarh, Rakesh Singh of BJP from Jabalpur, Jyoti Dhruve of BJP from Betul, Fuggan Singh Kulaste of BJP from Mandla, Laxmi Narayan Yadav of BJP from Sagar, Bhagirath Prasad of BJP from Bhind have shown wealth of Rs 2 crore.

Chintamani Malviya of BJP from Ujjain, Sumitra Mahajan of BJP from Indore, Alok Sanjar of BJP from Bhopal,  Dileep Singh Bhuria of BJP from Ratlam, Narendra Singh Tomar of BJP from Gwalior, Janardhan Mishra of BJP from Rewa have shown the wealth of Rs 1 crore.

Seven of 29 MPs facing criminal charges

Seven out of 29 newly elected MPs have criminal background. It is 24.1 per cent.  Three of them have criminal charges of serious in nature and it comes to 10 per cent. Ganesh Singh of BJP of Satna faces charges under various sections of IPC like cheating (420), forgery (467), falsification of accounts (477A). Faggan Singh Kulaste of BJP from Mandla faces charges like criminal Intimidation (506),

Laxminarayan Yadav of BJP from Sagar has charges like undue influence at election (171F), and wearing grab or carrying token used by public servant with fraudulent intent (171). Jyoti Dhruve of BJP from Betul has charge of disobedience of order of public servant(188).

Rakesh Singh of BJP Jabalpur faces charges of rioting (146 and 147 IPC), Udaipratap Singh of BJP from Hoshangabad faces charge of rioting (147), Narendra Singh of BJP from Gwalior faces the charge of disobedience of order of public servant (188).
