Out of 537 candidates running for NMMC who have declared information about themselves, 43 have criminal cases against them. Out of which 40 have serious charges including murder, attempt to murder and kidnapping. Nerul ward no. 100 NCP candidate Ravindra Ithape is one of them.

A recently released report by ADR has Ithape booked under crimes such as Wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation, assault and murder. He is the same person who was found using stealing electricity from overhead wires for his daughter’s wedding by AAP activists, a few days ago.However, it remains to be seen if people of his constituency would prefer a clean candidate over somebody who has lots of baggage attached.
