According to the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) Reports of 2018-19, BJP received highest donations from corporate donors. The amount received was Rs. 698 Crores from 1573 corporate financers, here Congress lacks in collecting donations stands far at number second with Rs 122.5 crore from 122 corporate donors.

NCP stands out to be the third party after BJP and Congress sequentially in collecting funds and donations of Rs 11.345 crore from 17 corporate firms. ADR Reports considered only few parties such BJP, Congress, NCP, CPM and Trinamool Congress. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) after being the National Party couldn’t make it or didn’t counted in the list reasoning no voluntry donations received from any single donor since 2004. CPI didn’t declare amounts received from corporate firms in the year 2018-19.

ADR Reports also revealed that Tata Group-backed Progressive Electoral Trust, which considered to be “The largest donor to Political Parties” in 2018-19. Along with it Prudent Electoral Trust with Rs 102.25 crore considered to be one of the highest donor. Agency noted that,  “donations from corporates to the national parties increased by 131% from the period 2004-12 and 2018-19.”

BJP because of its consecutive wins in Lok Sabha Elections 2011,2014 came out to be the best and most favourite party for all the donors to donate and largest recipient of Political Donations from 2012-13 to 2018-19. In 2018-19 Elections as well, BJP received donations Four Times to the other four National Parties.
