A survey conducted by independent NGO ‘Association for Democratic Reforms’ (ADR) across 534 Lok Sabhaseats has found the Union government’s performance “below average” — defined as a score less than 3 on a scale of 5 — on 31 voter priorities.
The survey was conducted between October and December 2018 and covered 2.73 lakh voters across various demographics. However, the voters were not asked about their choice among political parties or whether they would want to vote out or retain the incumbent at the Centre. As per the survey, Indian voters prioritise employment and basic amenities (healthcare, drinking water, roads and transport) above issues like terrorism and a strong defence and military.
