Many candidates are millionaires

Out of 52 ‘crorepati’ (57%) candidates, 10 candidates (11%) have assets of Rs 5 crore and above. The ADR report states that the role of money power in our elections is evident from the fact that all major political parties give tickets to wealthy candidates.
