BANGALORE: Two ministers out of these 24 analyzed in the ruling-BJP are facing serious IPC charges like murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping and theft against them.

According to Association of Democratic Reforms(ADR) and Karnataka Election Watch (KEW), organization working on electoral reforms, municipal administration minister Balachandra L Jarkhiholi has declared one case against himself including charges related to murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping and theft. "Higher education minister CT Ravi has declared 5 criminal cases including charges of promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, residence and language," Trilochan Sastry, Harish Narasappa. Kathyaini Chamaraj and Vasudevamurthy of KEW told reporters here on Thursday.

The KEW has analyzed 24 ministers and found out that 10 of them - Anand Singh, Anand Asnotikar, CT Ravi, Balachandra Jarkiholi, S Shivanna, Murugesh R Nirani, KS Eshwarappa, Aravind Limbavali, SA Ravindranath and SA Ramdas - have self declared criminal cases as per their affidavits filed during 2008 assembly elections.
