According to information sourced from an NGO - Association of Democratic Reforms - Maharashtra and Gujarat contributed 65 per cent of the total corporate funds received by BJP and Congress during last nine years.
Analysis of data also suggest huge surge in corporate funding during election year. For instance, during 2009 the funding rose by almost 300 per cent when compared to the previous year.
