The average asset change of candidates re-contesting the Assembly elections from 2013 to 2018 has been a whopping 64 per cent.

An assessment by ADR said the average assets of these 184 re-contesting MLAs, between the Karnataka elections of 2013 and 2018, increased by Rs 17.31 crore.

The average percentage increase in assets for these 184 re-contesting MLAs is 64%, it added.

The average assets of these re-contesting MLAs from various parties, including Independents, in 2013 were Rs 26.92 crore. The figure increased to Rs 44.24 crore in May 2018.
