Supreme Court will also hear contempt to plea by ADR on March 11, said SC in a post on X.

Supreme Court on Thursday said  it will hear SBI's appeal on March 11 asking for an extension until June 30 to provide information on all electoral bonds redeemed starting in April 2019.

Supreme Court will also hear contempt to plea by ADR on March 11, said SC in a post on X.

SBI filed a motion with the Supreme Court on Monday, requesting an extension until June 30, 2024, for the Election Commission of India (ECI) to receive information about electoral bonds.

The bank requested an extension, citing the difficulty in deciphering the data as a result of the stringent Standard Operating Procedure (SoP) put in place to protect donor information. Originally, March 6 was the deadline for submitting this information.

On March 7, the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), the main petitioner in the electoral bonds issue, submitted a plea in the Supreme Court (SC) requesting that the State Bank of India (SBI) be held in contempt. This action comes after SBI recently asked the supreme court for an extension to provide electoral bond data.
